I know I’m not alone in this.

The self-imposed standards we hold ourselves to. The constant need to prove our worth.

That sneaky imposter syndrome sitting on our shoulder telling us we’re not good enough, we don’t know as much as the next person, quietly questioning our abilities and lying to us about what others think of us.

But the truth?

Most people aren’t paying that much attention to you. They’re too busy in their own heads… thinking the exact same things about themselves.

So what if we cared a little less about what others may or may not think?

What if we just showed up anyway and did just enough?

Not perfection. Not slacking either.

What if we took our foot off the “perfection ” pedal, even just a little?

Could we free up a few minutes to breathe? To take a walk in the sun, or sit and enjoy a cuppa without checking emails or replying to Slack?

And would that make us – even just a little bit – happier, calmer, and more able to keep going?
